This handsome fawn and white chihuahua, born around 12/10/2024 and weighing 7.7 pounds, has a strong spirit and a lot of heart. Vigil came to the shelter as part of a seizure of dogs from a challenging situation. He arrived with his canine family members and demonstrated his fiercely loyal nature right away, initially protecting his kin from the shelter staff. While he started out quite feral, his demeanor quickly softened once he realized he was in safe hands. It turns out that Virgil's true weakness is treats! He has been completely won over by tasty morsels and patient affection, quickly transforming into a friendly, affectionate boy. He's looking for a secure environment where he can feel safe enough to put his protective instincts aside and just enjoy being a cherished pet. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Virgil might be your perfect match. You can fill out an adoption application at www.adoggie4you.org . The adoption fee is $300. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
