Meet turk
Turk is a very healthy rescue dog who has been loved for two years and has made gains in adjustments with our immediate family. She knows how to sit, stay and come when called. She is also leash trained and is highly motivated by food and treats. Turk loves to be brushed and petted once she trusts you. She would be a good companion for someone who has a quiet household, preferably on some land (she is used to living on acreage), and has the time to continue to work with her on trust.
Turk has strong defensive and guarding tendencies which equate to being very territorial and overprotective of her space and of her trusted people. She has been steadily improving on a leash on trails not barking at hikers, but we keep good space between her and others. She has grown up with a large dog who has been willing to back down and take some aggressive tendencies.
