Sweet Mara only wants to be close! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 35 pounds.

Meet Mara, she is such a pretty girl with a fun, playful spirit! She is a bundle of affection, so connecting and looking to please her people. Mara is all loose and wiggly, and she loves to be close, whether that's snuggling on the couch or playing a game of fetch with her favorite tennis ball. She will happily bring the ball back to you and politely relinquish it for the next throw - what a good girl! Mara also adores soft toys and is highly trainable, already mastering the 'sit' command like a pro. She just needs a little confidence boost when it comes to walking on a leash. She is dreaming of a loving, forever home. Could you be the one to help Mara build her confidence and show her the love she deserves? She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old.

One of our wonderful volunteers is taking Mara on a nice adventure, to a fun weekly Paws Plus training class where she is thriving! As you can see from her video (you can watch it on her Petfinder profile), she is so smart and wants to learn. She has already learned the following commands: sit, down, stay, watch me, place, bow, circle. She is working on "leave it".
