Sammi is fostered in Ottumwa, IA.

Sammi is a sweet, special girl.  She was brought into rescue when her former owner suffered a medical condition that required him to move in with family and receive 24 hour care himself.  Sammi had been in that home since she was a puppy.  Sammi is a blue merle female Australian Shepherd.  She is an 8 year girl, currently weighing around 50 lbs.  

Sammi is a super sweet gal.  Sammi loves everyone and everything. She previously lived in a home with another dog.  She now lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs of all ages and sizes.  She is overly curious about the cat, and would probably do best without them in her home.  Sammi is a bit overweight and could use some continued monitoring of her food and continued exercise.  She doesn't necessarily play with a lot of dogs, but she is very comfortable watching them playing around her.  She goes to doggie daycare at her foster home.  

Sammi has EXCELLENT house manners.  She is crate trained and potty trained.  She does wonderful for grooming and she is great at running errands in the car with you too.  Sammi does know a few basic commands, but it never hurts to brush up on those with a training course.  Training is a great way to help bond with your pup.

Sammi is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. We require proof of heartworm prevention for all current and previous pets.
