He had almost no training and not enough exercise so he was pretty out of control. Now that Scheppy is getting regular exercise his behavior has improved significantly but we are working on basics like come and sit.    Scheppy’s leash skills have improved dramatically in a short time. He almost never pulls but he’s very curious about his new neighborhood so he isn’t great at walking a straight line.    Scheppy is currently in a foster home with 2 big canine brothers who he loves to play with. He also runs the fence line with the neighbor dogs on both sides so he needs a home where he will get the exercise he requires.    Scheppy loves everyone he meets but is still a puppy in a big body. He can be spatially unaware and is still mouthy like a puppy so he probably shouldn’t be in a home with little kids who do not understand that.   If you are looking for an active companion with lots of love to give, beautiful Scheppy is the guy for you!  Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program.
