Stella has a healthy dose of self preservation and takes a bit to warm up to other dogs and then she likes them. She is not a kiss on the first date kinda girl. If you are considering adopting her and you have another dog, you will need to give them time to get to know each other so that they can become friends. STELLLAAAAAAA!!! Yep, that's my name, and even if you're ~not~ Stanley Kowalski, chances are good that I'll come a-runnin' when you yell it or gimme a whistle! You see, I LOVE my people. I also LOVE dogs. Cats, meh: I tolerate them, and they intimidate me. I am a year old and weigh about 25-30 lbs. I am crate trained and tolerate the crate well, but crating me is unnecessary because I have PERFECT house manners. I enjoy sleeping in the bed, but the couch or a dog bed is also nice. I really, really like to snuggle though, so get used to me being next to you on the couch. I can get very revved up and need plenty of exercise - one walk around the block per day isn't gonna cut it. I need to RUN! If you have a high-energy dog for me to pal around with, that would be great! A very active family would also be wonderful. A yard I can do zoomies in is a necessity. I am said to be a lab mix, and that may be so but I am a petite girl. I don't much like being picked up, but even if you do I will positively smother you with kisses. I can sit and jump for treats, and I'm good at howling along with a siren! If you're eating something, I'll do everything in my power to get you to share it with me, including jump in your lap and eat off your plate. Don't say you weren't warned! Luckily I am too short to reach the counter. I am still a puppy at heart, with sharp little puppy teeth that I occasionally use to nip for attention, so a home with older kids is required.
