Meet scotch
Scotch is a five-year-old, 50-pound purebred lab that was rescued from a breeder who retired him years ago, along with 13 other dogs, and relegated them to concrete kennels, where they were basically abandoned and fed on the ground. Scotch and the others would have died a slow death from heartworms, but a neighbor found a dog that had escaped the kennels, and upon returning her, discovered the horror show behind the fence at the top of the hill. At one point, Scotch was a show dog and actually lived inside the house until he was no longer useful to them. He was petrified when we got him, but he loves other dogs and is bringing him out of his shell. He loves being back in a home, and all of the good habits have returned.
