Meet gunter
Gunter is a 3–4-year-old Pitbull mix (grey and cream) who was found in the summer of 2022, chained to our hospital’s back gate in Union City, Ga. We attempted to contact animal control and local shelters, but unfortunately, no one responded—and several facilities warned that he would likely face euthanasia if surrendered. We chose to care for him ourselves. He was neutered and has remained up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick control.
Day to day, Gunter lives in a kennel and enjoys short breaks on our outdoor patio several times a day. He has not been socialized with other animals due to space and safety limitations, so we are unsure of his behavior toward other pets. However, he has shown no aggression toward people and is a favorite among our staff—energetic, affectionate, and eager for companionship once he warms up.
