To know Trevor is to love Trevor ♥️

With his interesting merle coat, cute little crumpled ears, dreamy leash behavior, and loving personality, Trevor is hard to resist once he's been given the chance to charm you.
Trevor started out as a city dog and ended up at CACC in October 2025 when his owner wasn't able to care for him anymore, but he was definitely loved in his prior home. Border Tails took him in that following December and he was adopted once but it wasn't the right fit for him. He has spent the last few weeks in a foster home with a single adult and resident cat and has settled in wonderfully. His foster mom says he is the easiest and sweetest dog she's fostered so far. He is still searching for his forever home and is definitely the perfect dog for the right family!
Some highlights from life in his foster home –
✅ Super affectionate - cuddly without being overly clingy, a sweet shadow by your side
ready to be your steady companion. He will put his head on your chest when you join him at his level
✅ Loves slower-paced, sniffy walks and gives gentle vibes when seeing other dogs - he’s a loose leash pro!
✅ Treat-motivated – CACC nicknamed him a “hungry hippo” Trevor’s love of snack makes short training sessions easy and effective - he’s a quick learner.
✅ Zero accidents in his foster home – he is crate-trained, but can be trusted in his foster room when left out of the crate during the work day.
✅ Rides perfectly in the car – he usually ends up snoring in the backseat.
✅ Super friendly when he met his foster’s nephews (ages 10+) and gave off kind energy when he met his foster’s neighbors through the fence (a couple and two kids aged 5 and 6)
✅ Respectful of the resident cat and listens well to "leave it" when he gets a little excited -his cat manners need a little work but he is showing good progress already!
✅ Enjoys short fetch and/or catch play sessions and spiky squeak balls are his favorite. After a short romp, he spends time relaxing nearby.

Trevor’s ideal home would be a calm environment with regular sniffy walks, lots of treats,and interactive play time. From there, he will reward you with good boy vibes and lots of snuggles!
