Meet penny
Meet Penny, a 3-year old, 46-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix who arrived in the Big Apple with one mission: to say hello to absolutely everyone! Humans, dogs, delivery people, pigeons…if it moves, Penny thinks it’s here to personally greet her.
Despite her social butterfly energy outside, Penny is actually a gentle, mellow, incredibly docile sweetheart. Indoors, she enjoys living her best almost-cuddler life - - she’ll relax on the couch touching you, but not quite ready for full snuggle mode…yet. Mushy and loving, she is always eager to receive head pets, ear scratches, body massages, and the like!
Penny loves many things, most notably other dogs, taking walks, playing tug-of-war, certain doggy treats, car rides, and learning new things. She already knows sit, down, and paw…and is officially ready for advanced academics.
Penny is hard at work practicing her housebreaking skills and leash manners, and is making progress in both areas. Going potty in a grassy yard? No problem. But on city streets? Penny is still negotiating terms with NYC pavement, but is definitely learning to accept concrete over grass. Good girl, Penny! You’re almost there!
Quiet and calm, Penny only barks when something seems concerning. She can be a playful goofball outside, but inside, she’s perfectly content being a partial couch potato with a side of delicious companionship.
