Meet r2d2
R2 is 13 years old. We adopted him when he was 6 months old from a foster home. He was rescued from a shelter in Virginia and sent to RI to find a home. He is very shy and sweet and submissive, but also very anxious and needs a quiet, peaceful home. He has become increasingly distressed by not being able to climb stairs to his regular sleeping space on the second floor due to arthritis in his back legs. We have two young children who love him but make him very nervous now that he can’t “escape” them and must live on the first floor. He lives with a 13 year old cat who is his best buddy. He loves cats and would likely be fine with other dogs, but he would definitely take the submissive role. A very good boy but he just isn’t comfortable in our house anymore.
