Meet bernard
*Up to date on shots. Microchipped. Neuter scheduled early Dec*
A kind lady rescued Bernard (and sibs) but could no longer care for them, so we stepped in to foster.
He is crate trained, mostly potty trained, and doing great learning about life beyond the yard. Can be a little timid in new situations, but works out of it super quickly. We are doing all we can to socialize and expose him to all the things.
Bernard has happily lived with dogs, cat and kids. He is very tolerant of our 3&5 year old and always greets them with wags and kisses (sometimes jumps, working on that too!). He would love to be a family dog. From what I can tell his energy level will be on the lower side. I am guessing with other dogs he would not be an alfa but more submissive. I think he would also enjoy being a second dog for the companionship and to learn the ropes from an elder!
He seems to like water play, a future swimmer perhaps? Loves belly rubs, splooting and sitting on his bum instead of feet!
