Willow Ember – The Sweet, Social Butterfly Ready to Shine

Hi! I’m Willow Ember, a 1‑year‑old brown and white pit mix with a heart as soft as my fur. I weigh about 40 pounds, I’m spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and fully potty trained. I do well walking on leash with my two other foster dog friends.

I’m a total social butterfly—I adore people and kids. I greet everyone like they’re already my friend. I’m very sweet, absolutely adorable (or so I’m told!), and I love to give hugs. I’m the perfect size to scoop up in your arms for a cuddle, and I’ll happily melt right into your heart. I am also learning to give smooches. Not the sloppy wet kind. Little quick smooches with my mouth.

I get along well with other dogs but need slow introductions because I get super excited. I am not good with cats so I'll need to join a feline-free family.

My story started out a little rough. I was found as a stray puppy eating dirt just to fill my belly. I had a severe demodex mange infection that caused so much hair loss and swelling that I couldn’t even see. But even then, I trusted people—I already knew basic commands like “sit,” and I loved being near humans. Team Memphis Rescue and Support stepped in, got me immediate medical care, and placed me with a wonderful foster who helped me heal. Now my beautiful brown and white coat has grown back in. I am flourishing this spring just like nature!

I’m gentle, loving, playful, and full of joy. I’m the kind of dog who brings sunshine wherever I go, and I’m so ready to find a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

I’m currently in Franklin, TN, but I can be transported out of state for the right home (transport fee may apply). If you’re looking for a cuddly, affectionate, resilient little sweetheart who will brighten every day, I’d love to be your girl.
