Meet goshe
Goshe is a mixed breed, female, rescued dog we adopted 8 years ago. Vet guessed she was about 2 when rescued and had probably come out of a pack situation. My wife is now in memory care, so I am alone and it has become harder for me physically to take care of Goshe.
She is on 2 medications daily for a liver problem: Denamarin and Ursodiol.
She is friendly around people, but unpredictable around other dogs, especially males, so I avoid dogs. She is afraid of storms, especially thunder, and is also afraid of loud noises like thunder. When afraid she paces or wants to be next to you but will not stay still and cannot be calmed. Vet told us it is safer to restrain her in an area where we are until the she settles down, which is what I do.
She pulls when walked with her nose to the ground. I walk her in the morning and late afternoon, and take her out to pee after lunch, after dinner and before bed. She usually does her pee business quickly in the area around the door.
