Big Daddy – The Tiny Hero with the Biggest Heart  Sometimes the smallest souls have the biggest hearts. Meet Big Daddy, a 2-year-old Deerhead Chihuahua who weighs just 5.4 pounds but carries the spirit of a protector. When rescuers found him, he was standing in the middle of a quiet country road—circling a small, pregnant Terrier who couldn’t walk because of severe knee injuries. It was clear he refused to leave her side. Someone had left them there, helpless… but Big Daddy was determined to keep her safe. That moment told us everything we needed to know about this little dog. He may be tiny, but his loyalty and courage are larger than life. Now safe with Critter Cavalry Rescue, Big Daddy is discovering what it means to be loved and cared for. His days of hunger and worry are behind him, and his bright, happy future is just beginning. Big Daddy is gentle, loving, and eager to please. He adores people and gets along beautifully with other friendly dogs. Though he’s thin now, he’ll soon fill out to a healthy 7 pounds—with every ounce of him overflowing with affection. He’s learning about house manners and doing great with a bellyband during transitions. Crating isn’t really necessary; he’s far too harmless and well-behaved to cause trouble. Because he’s so delicate, Big Daddy would do best in a home without young children—but he’ll make the perfect, loyal companion for someone who wants a true little shadow and a whole lot of heart.
