Meet Gilligan!
A sweet-natured nine-and-a-half-year-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua/Terrier mix currently in San Diego, CA, whose essence is that of a devoted snuggler with a heart full of love and a flair for road trips.
Tipping the scales at a perfectly cuddle-sized 24 pounds, Gilligan is a gentle soul who thrives on affection and companionship. With a soft white coat adorned with warm brown patches, he’s not just handsome, he’s also the kind of dog who will quietly lean into you for a hug and stay there as long as you’ll let him. Toys? Not really his thing. Gilligan prefers your lap to any squeaky ball, and if you’ve got a cozy couch and a little extra time, you’ve just made his day.
Gilligan’s ideal day includes two meals, three leisurely walks, and his absolute favorite, a car ride where he can sit back and enjoy the view. He’s wonderfully gentle with children (even the tiny toddlers!) and greets everyone with a calm, friendly demeanor. Around other dogs, he’s all peace and quiet, never one to stir up trouble and always happy to share his space with a calm canine friend.
This mellow guy does have a sensitive side. He’s used to having his people close, so being left alone can make him feel a bit anxious. He’d do best with a caregiver who’s around most of the day or another relaxed dog to keep him company. Gilligan is house-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He also receives Cytopoint injections to manage skin allergies and occasionally needs care for a recurring ear infection, but he handles it all like a champ.
With his signature “grinch feet” that grow adorably shaggy between grooming sessions and his unshakable loyalty, Gilligan is more than ready to bring warmth, quiet joy, and snuggly road trip vibes into a new loving home.
