His family, unable to afford treatment, made the heartbreaking decision to have him euthanized—an outcome that nearly came to pass after the father admitted he couldn't bring himself to follow through with his original plan to shoot him. Before proceeding, the veterinary team took investigative x-rays and discovered multiple pelvic fractures and a tibial fracture in his left leg. Despite the injuries, they saw hope. With intensive cage rest, medication, and supportive care, they believed Channing had a real shot at recovery. Channing is nervous and will need an experienced chihuahua owner. He needs time to feel safe. Once he trust you he is great. He doesn't really bark unless there is something to bark about.
