Housebroken: Yes

Good in the car: He has Opinions, but he does eventually settle down.

Good on a leash: So-so. He responds to leash pressure and isn't a complete psycho, but we're working on manners and being a gentleman.

Energy level: High - he's a shepherd mix, and likes to be busy.

Need a fenced in yard: No, but he definitely needs an outlet for his energy and to work that brain of his.

Dog Friendly: Yes! With females though, Chris requires correction, as he fancies himself a stud and will try to mount them. Once they make their point clear, he's a respectful and playful boy. He's been nothing but respectful toward my males so far.

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Yes, it would be beneficial to him. I have been told he has separation anxiety and would destroy kennels in his previous home, but have not seen that behavior at all here while he's been kenneled next to other dogs. Even when I've left for hours, he has remained quiet and well-behaved.

Cat Friendly? Yes, though proper introductions and dog-savvy cats are recommended, as he tries to play with them and will chase if they run.

Kid Friendly: Yes

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 6+ - old enough to not mind a playful guy who might accidentally knock them over.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?

Chris Stapleton is, without a doubt, a happy, bouncy, playful boy. He's definitely a cuddly one too, and oftentimes cannot decide between snuggling up to his foster dad in bed, or running around with the other dogs like the most enthusiastic squirrel who may or may not have accidentally ingested just a little bit of crack. As a treat.

This boy was returned for separation anxiety and dismantling his kennels, and after spending time watching him settle into the routine here, it seems that the other dogs have helped to keep him comfortable and calm. He's certainly been trying his best, and has nothing but love and heart to show the world. Every person is a friend, every lady dog is a potential wife who's just waiting to be wooed, and every day is a new chance to show the world just what an amazing boy he is.

All he needs now is someone to make him their boy for good.
