Meet hudson
This attractive youngster is Hudson—an American Pitbull/American Staffordshire terrier mix that came in as a stray on 10/31 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Hudson weighs 54lbs and is about 1 year old. He appears to have been well cared for. He is nicely behaved, friendly and sociable. When I was standing by the wall in the yard, he sat beside me and leaned into me. He did his business in the yard so is possibly housetrained. Hudson walks well on a leash. He showed off his athleticism by climbing up on the play equipment in the yard. He knows the sit command and will do so for treats. He is energetic, lively, and active, and does jump on you a bit, though not excessively. Hudson is a playful fellow and likes toys and balls. He was chewing on a stick in the yard so I think having some sturdy chew toys in his new home would be a great idea. An active person or family seems like a good fit for Hudson in getting him out for walks, playing in the yard, teaching him to catch a frisbee or tennis ball, hiking at a state park, going camping….the sky’s the limit with this boy. And absolutely has to live indoors to be close and loving with this family.
