HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet him, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Big, lazy boy who would likely do well in any type of home - Enjoys meeting new people and comes right up to greet them; his foster family said he also likes saying hi to the neighbors whenever he's outside- Likes playing with plush toys, and enjoys peanut butter, cheese and other treats - Loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with his humans - Does great in the car and will hop in on his own - When left alone in his foster home, he sleeps 99% of the time- Knows sit, shake, come and off, and is working on lay down; also does well on a leash - Has been working on housetraining in his foster home; still has some accidents when his family is at work but has been perfect on days when they're home - he'll just bark when he needs to go out; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule- Has been known to try to sneak food off counters, so plan on keeping things out of his reach - Has done great when meeting children, including preschool-age kids, while in his foster home; he has been very gentle and enjoys their pets with a wagging tail - Has done well with like-minded dog friends and has been polite passing other dogs on walks - We don't know his history with cats or small pets- Overall a gentle, laid-back guy who just needs a family to love! This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
