Meet Kobe!

A soulful eight-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently in Nevada City, CA, whose gentle eyes and black-and-white coat hold the wisdom of a dog who’s rediscovered joy and peace under the sun. A true connoisseur of quiet moments and cozy naps, Kobe is a low-energy sweetheart who lives for sunbathing, leisurely strolls, and being your steadfast companion on the couch.

Kobe is calm, loyal, and thoughtful, a "golden bachelor" who’s come through tough times and emerged with a quiet strength and a big heart. He's currently learning to trust again and is thriving with structure, gentle guidance, and plenty of praise. Treats are definitely his love language, and he proudly shows off his "sit" command when he thinks a snack may follow! Just be sure to let him enjoy his meals in peace, he prefers dining solo and appreciates clear boundaries around food.

Around other dogs and even cats, Kobe is friendly and social, just don’t invite him to dinner with friends! He’s more of a “me time” eater. He does best in a calm environment where routines are respected and energy stays balanced. He can get a little stubborn, but clip on a leash, give him a second, and he’ll happily waddle along with you!

This 50-pound gentleman is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He may benefit from joint supplements as he ages, especially after one of his classic "downward dog" yoga stretches, which he loves to show off! Even better? If you copy his stretch, he’ll trot right over for a tail-wagging cuddle session!

Kobe is looking for a quiet, caring environment with a guardian who respects his boundaries and sees the beauty in slower-paced companionship. While he’s not the right match for homes with young children, he’s ready to bring a warm, loyal presence to the life of someone who values connection and comfort.
