Found wandering with one of our other residents, she’s been nothing but kind and loving since the moment she arrived. Though new to the shelter life, Winnie has handled it all with grace and a wagging tail that’s starting to show more confidence each day.She’s the type of dog who thrives on gentle affection and calm reassurance — belly rubs are her absolute favorite! While some loud noises or quick movements can still make her a little unsure, we’re watching her blossom beautifully as she learns that the world can be a safe, happy place.Winnie is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, so for now she’s keeping things on the calmer side. She’ll do best in a home that can provide structure, patience, and enrichment to keep her mind engaged while her body rests and heals.
