Location: Hanover, VAPepsi's story is not only incredibly sad but also inspiring. She came to us after a horrible accident in which she was struck by a vehicle. She was rushed to the emergency vet where they got her in for surgery to repair her injuries. Pepsi was saved by the diligence of the veterinary team, our animal protection team and the generosity of Richmond Animal Care and Controls Team Tommie Fund. Without them, the surgery would have been unobtainable. She is undoubtedly a fighter with a strong will to live. If you did not know this part of her story prior to meeting her, you would truly never know she went through anything bad at all. She is the most loving girl, and she never ceases to amaze me with the love she still carries for people. Even when she was full of stiches all the way up her abdomen, she acted as though nothing ever happened. It is truly remarkable how resilient dogs can be, and Pepsi is a perfect example of this unwavering trait. If I had a house of my own, I would take her myself she is truly wonderful.
