I’m Thumper, a striking Catahoula mix with beautiful markings that make me stand out in any crowd. I was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama with my two siblings (Pup Mena and Pup Gurri), and now I’m hoping to find my forever family. Like many Catahoulas, I’m a smart boy in the perfect stage for training and socialization. I may be a little shy at first, but give me just a bit of time and patience, and you’ll see my sweet and friendly nature shine through. I am super sweet and get along well with other dogs. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs.
