🌸 Meet Ginger: Seeking Comfort in a Companion Home
Ginger is a precious one-year-old small breed mix who is ready to leave her crowded past behind and find true peace in a loving home! She came to us from a situation in Florida where she lived with over 10 other dogs, so it's no surprise that she NEEDS a canine companion (or more than one!) to thrive. A confident, friendly dog friend will be the key to helping Ginger adjust.
Her Personality and Progress
Ginger's fosters say she is incredibly endearing. She is funny when she starts to play and is often intrigued by what her humans are doing, watching them with curiosity. While she's getting braver, she isn't totally ready to be snuggle friends yet and needs her space respected. She's also trying hard with house training—she tries really hard to go to the bathroom outside, but sometimes has accidents as she settles in.
The Right Environment
Because of her background, Ginger is a shy and sensitive girl. She needs a patient owner who will give her time and space to come out of her shell completely.
She may be too scared for children and needs an adult-only environment that is quiet and predictable.
She is a bit of a flight risk at first, so a secure yard and vigilant handling are essential.
