🌿Meet Ivy— A Very Sweet, Gentle, Loving Girl Looking for Her Forever Home💕

Ivy is a sweet, adorable, gentle, and affectionate dog who was rescued from euthanasia in a shelter in South Korea. Despite her difficult start, she adores people and stays close to her person like a little shadow, wagging her tail as she trots along. She has excellent social skills and enjoys greeting dogs in the neighborhood. She’s been lovingly cared for by her foster family in Korea and is now ready to find her forever family in the Seattle area that will shower her with the affection she so deeply deserves!

Good with dogs? She loves other dogs and plays well with them at daycare and during walks.
Good with cats? Unknown.
Good with kids? Shows no particular interest in children.
Potty trained? 100% outdoor potty trained. She must be taken out at least 3-4 times a day for potty walks.
Good on leash? Yes, she enjoys walks and greets other dogs politely. Sometimes she gets too excited and pulls forward, but responds well when corrected.
Barker? Only occasionally barks once (“woof!”) if an unfamiliar person suddenly enters a space she considers her own (home, office). It is short and not persistent.
Separation anxiety? Minimal. She may whimper briefly, but settles quickly. Attends daycare once or twice a week and adjusts well without seeking the foster.
Behavioral issues? Curious about objects on the floor, especially cloth items (like socks or light clothing). She may carry them around in her mouth, so please keep valuable or unsafe items out of reach.
Additional notes: After one day of warming up, she quickly rolls over to show her tummy and bonds well with people.

Not a fan of bathing/brushing, but tolerates until finished. Slightly uncomfortable with the sound of the hair dryer, but stays calm when soothed.
No motion sickness during car rides.
Healthy, no known issues. Update: Ivy recently tested positive for heartworm and is currently undergoing treatment. She won’t be ready for adoption until she tests negative, which could take about 4–5 months, though sometimes it may take longer. She had tested negative for heartworm back in February when she was rescued and started on preventative medication. However, the veterinarian explained that she likely had an early-stage (baby) heartworm infection at that time that wasn’t yet detectable. This can happen when the worms are still in the microfilaria stage, before they mature into adults, which is why test can’t detect them yet.

Foster’s Comments: Ivy is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate dog who truly adores her person. She follows closely like a little shadow, wagging her long tail as she trots along. She has excellent social skills and enjoys greeting dogs in the neighborhood. We hope she finds a loving family who will give her the affection she so deserves.
