When Joey first came into rescue, he was in heartbreaking condition—his skin was raw and hairless, his ears were infected, and he was fighting to simply breathe. With time, love, and care, Joey has shown us what true resilience looks like. Now, he’s ready to focus on his next chapter: #HappyPetHappyEnding and finding his forever family.
Joey is a low-energy companion who prefers to wander around the house and quietly keep you company rather than bounce off the walls. He does the cutest little toe-taps as he follows you, and if you scoop him up, be prepared for kisses galore—accompanied by his signature happy “piggy oinks.”
He’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and a great car rider. Around other dogs, Joey is polite and easygoing—he doesn’t need constant playtime but enjoys following his furry friends and learning the ropes from them. He’s also met children and did wonderfully, greeting them with his same friendly, gentle nature.
