Meet Sallie Jo – A Shy but Sweet Little Lady
Sallie Jo is a gentle soul with the softest heart. While we don’t know her exact age, she seems to be a young dog with plenty of life and love ahead of her. At about 45 pounds, she’s a petite girl who is still finding her confidence in the world.
Sallie Jo is currently in a foster home with her foster sister, Nisa (also adoptable!), and the two are the best of friends. She absolutely loves other dogs and gains so much confidence by following their lead. Because of this, Sallie Jo would do best in a home with another dog to help her continue building confidence and feel secure.
New people and situations can make Sallie Jo a little nervous at first, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into the sweetest companion. She’s already potty trained and crate trained, and she’s happiest when she has a cozy, safe place to relax. Once she feels comfortable, she shows her affectionate and gentle side—leaning in for pets and enjoying quiet companionship.
She has made so much progress in the short time we have known her, and we are confident she will continue to grow with the right support. Sallie Jo may need a little extra time to adjust, but the love and loyalty she offers in return are well worth it.
