Clifton Trace (CT) is neutered and READY TO GO HOME!!CT has been at the shelter for a few months now and seems to be getting overlooked, which is hard to understand once you meet him. While kennel life is starting to wear on him, he is a gold-star dog-easy for new volunteers to take out, well-mannered, and attentive. He checks in with his person often, always ready to see what's next. He is very treat-motivated and will sit right away if there's a treat anywhere nearby. He also loves toys-especially the giggle ball and a big orange ball that he proudly runs around with, even though he can't quite decide which one is his favorite. When running errands with a volunteer, he jumped right into the car with his tail wagging the entire time, and was clearly ready for adventure. He enjoyed walking around dog friendly stores, sniffing all the new smells, and meeting a couple of new friends.During doggie playgroups at the Animal Center, he has shown that he can play well with friendly, low-key female dogs in a calm setting. But he also let us know that he is very selective about his doggie friends so careful, slow intros are a must. Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious.
