Kovu is a 8‑month‑old Golden Retriever / Dutch Shepherd mix who is growing up into a truly impressive young dog. Like his brother Joey, Kovu comes from professional working‑line parents, and it shows—this boy is intelligent, driven, athletic, and built for an active, engaged life.

One of an accidental litter of 11 puppies, Kovu is now one of the last still waiting for his perfect match. While many of his siblings have already found homes, Kovu has been steadily maturing and coming into his own, and it’s clear he’s ready for the next chapter.

Kovu is active, loyal, and eager to learn, with the kind of focus and work ethic that shepherd lovers truly appreciate. His shepherd‑savvy volunteers have been working closely with him, and he has been making wonderful progress, growing more confident and polished every day. He thrives with structure, consistency, and engagement—and it’s high time this special boy finds himself an experienced, shepherd‑loving home that understands what dogs like Kovu need to succeed.
