Leo has been waiting since July 29, 2025. More than a year. And somehow, this happy, goofy, incredibly lovable boy has been almost completely overlooked.

Leo is a 3-year-old with a French Bulldog mom and a dad who remains a bit of a mystery. Whatever his exact recipe, we do know one thing for sure: **Leo is a whole lot of fun.** He is vibrant, playful, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that everyone he meets is his new best friend. He doesn’t know a stranger, and his enthusiasm for life is impossible not to smile at.

Leo has always lived as an apartment dog, but his previous family realized that he would thrive in a home with more room to run, play, and burn off some of that endless energy. He loves to explore, loves attention, and would be happiest with someone who wants a dog to actually *do things* with. Walks, playtime, adventures, backyard zoomies—Leo is ready for all of it.

He has always been an only pet and has a strong prey drive, so a home without cats would be best. He came to us with very little experience when it came to the basics, but **he's already come a long way.** Leo now walks nicely on a leash, and he's learning more every day. He is still working on house training and crate training, so his future family will need to be patient and consistent as he continues learning. He does know how to sit, and we're confident that with the right person and some structure, he'll keep making progress.

The hardest part about Leo isn't finding something lovable about him—it's understanding why no one has chosen him yet.

After more than a year in the shelter, this boy deserves so much more than being passed by. He deserves a family who will appreciate his goofy personality, give him plenty of outlets for his energy, and celebrate all the little milestones as he learns.
