Leash Superstar: Lake is fantastic on walks! She does really well on a leash and loves exploring the world with you. Get ready for some great adventures!
A Cuddle Monster... With Boundaries: She's a certified cuddle monster and will gladly soak up all your love, but she's also secure enough to enjoy her own space when she needs a little "me time." The best of both worlds!
Dog-Friendly: Lake loves making new friends and enjoys meeting other dogs. Playdates are definitely on the menu!
Eager to Learn: She already knows the "SIT" command and is a smart cookie who's ready and willing to master even more commands with consistent, positive training.
What Lake is Working On
Lake is a work in progress, but her potential is huge! She is still learning about potty training but is confident that with a set routine and time, she'll have it down. Her crate tolerance is improving, especially when her space is made comfy and cozy. She's naturally a protector of her people (but not an over protector) and is ready to form a deep bond with her forever family.
A Few Things to Note
Lake can be shy around new people initially, but she's constantly improving her confidence and just needs patience and gentle introductions. While she loves kids, Lake prefers a home without them to help her feel most secure, as she can get nervous around children. Her last foster found that giving her three days of decompression before introducing her to other pets was the secret to her success. She hasn't met any cats yet, so that's an unknown!
