They were surrendered with medical needs and facing a looming deadline as their family prepared to move. We knew we had to keep them out of the shelter system and offer them a safe place to land.These boys are now ready to find a family that will love them through their golden years! Chester, the more reserved of the two, is a true napper, content to snooze most of the day. He likes to keep an eye on you from a comfortable distance, occasionally coming over for a gentle pet. Walks are enjoyed at his own charming waddle! Gunner, a bit more energetic, loves to play with toys and run for a bit before settling down for his own naps. He’s a snuggler, enjoying couch time, and moves at a faster pace on walks than Chester. Both boys are treat-motivated and are doing well with a consistent bathroom schedule. Taking in owner-surrendered pets like Chester and Gunner – especially seniors and those with medical needs – is part of our mission. In many cases, these pets would end up in overwhelmed shelters.
