Welcome was are excited to introduce Elrond, an amazing estimated 7-8 year old magnificent German Shepherd. He has come to the rescue Riverside Shelter in CA, where he had been overlooked because of his age and when his time was up, ARK Charities found him when he had a last minute plea, and thankfully we were able to pull from the euthanasia list at the last minute. He is an exceptional boy that is truly wonderful with all the people he has met, even in when he was forced to stay at the vet when leaving the shelter because he had contract a severe respitory issue while at the shelter that turned into pneumonia while there but thankfully he fully recovered from it and all little extras he left the shelter with. Elrond also is dog friendly with larger dogs, unfortunately we can not confirm how he would be with small dogs, (so a meet and greet with any would be a must) but we believe he would likely be OK because we were able to test him with cats and he was very respectful and gave them wide berth. Elrond is medium energy and playful and would love to explore and join you on life's adventures. He has some obedience skills but may need some brushing up, he is very smart, eager to please, he is treat motivated, gentle taking them but his greatest reward is making you happy. Elrond is a very sweet, loving and affectionate boy and and a joy to have around. He is a good boy in the house and is crate trained. He would love an active and fun loving family. Given his energy level, size and strength we do recommend older children, 10 and up or an adult home.
