Meet Milo – A High-Energy Explorer with a Sensitive SideMilo is a bright, energetic pup who thrives when given daily outlets for his physical and mental energy. Long walks, sniffy adventures, and enriching games aren’t just fun for Milo — they’re essential. He loves having a “job” to do, and when his needs are met, he transforms into a focused, happy companion with a spring in his step and a tail held high.While Milo is affectionate with the people he trusts, he’s not a fan of being rushed — especially by new faces. Remember, he may look like a cuddly teddy Bear but he is a very independent and smart dog. He needs his personal space respected at all times and is not the kind of dog who will tolerate handling from strangers or even new friends until he says it’s okay. Earning his trust is a slow and steady process, but those who are patient will discover a thoughtful, deeply loyal companion.Milo enjoys working through routines and puzzles, especially food-based enrichment like treat-dispensing toys or crinkly paper bags with snacks hidden inside. He’s still learning the ropes of house and crate training, but he’s a smart and eager learner when given consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement (especially if string cheese is involved!).Milo may do well with a calm, confident dog buddy or dog-savvy cats, with slow introductions. His ideal home will be adult-only or include older teens (15+) who understand that Milo needs time, space, and structure to thrive. Milo will need a family committed to working with one of our recommended dog trainers. With the right family and trainer, Milo’s energy and spirit can truly shine.
