Vaughn is a charming and devoted 10-year-old chiweenie with medium energy, making him an ideal walking partner. He adores his blankets and enjoys bundling himself beneath them for hisevening snooze as well as cuddling. Vaughn is crate trained and finds comfort in the security of his crate. He's also housetrained and uses a dog door throughout the day. He gets along well with both cats and dogs, although he prefers human companionship.

Vaughn is food motivated, making him easy to train but care needs to be taken to consider the calories for such a small dog. Vaughn was accepted into rescue when his owner and 12 yr old daughter became homeless, leaving Vaughn feeling lost and confused. A slow introduction will be needed giving him time to trust at his own pace. Because of this needed time to be safe, an adult home, or one with quiet gentle teens would be best.

Overall, Vaughn is a smart, healthy, and happy dog who would make a wonderful companion.

The adoption fee is $200, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.

We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment
