A tender-hearted two-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix currently living in Carlsbad, CA, whose gentle soul and snowy-white coat flecked with blue and fawn brindle patches make him unforgettable from the moment you meet him.
Mendi is a soft-spoken adventurer—a little shy at first, but once he warms up, prepare for a tidal wave of cuddles, loyalty, and love! This 90-pound sweetheart is the ultimate cuddle connoisseur. He’ll nudge your hand for hugs, rest his head in your lap like it’s the safest place in the world, and follow you from room to room just to stay close. If companionship is what you seek, Mendi’s your guy!
Outdoors, Mendi truly comes alive. He adores long walks—especially uphill hikes or mountain trails where he can leap and explore with the joy of a four-legged explorer on a mission. His shepherd-husky mix gives him a natural athleticism and drive, and he’s happiest when moving by your side. While he’s still working on leash manners (he sometimes pulls with excitement), he’s eager to please and responds well to connection and positive reinforcement.
Mendi is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He hasn’t had formal training, but he already knows “sit” and “stay,” and he’s ready to learn more with a patient and kind caregiver. He’s nervous around new dogs at first, but once introduced gently, he becomes playful and friendly. He’s even done well with a small Pomeranian and a six-year-old child, showing his sweet, adaptable nature. Though we’re not sure how he is with cats, Mendi shines in a home where someone is around often—whether two-legged or four—since being alone too long can make him anxious.
