Here is "Patches". Patches is a mixed breed (hound/lab mix). He is now about 2 years and 8 months old and weighs 74 pounds.
Patches was abandoned near a pizza shop on Meriden Road in Waterbury. He was only a 4 month old puppy at the time and he weighed less than 50 pounds.
Patches is a great dog. He is housebroken. Patches loves his crate which he will take with him when he is adopted. He loves to go in and out of his crate! Patches is okay with cats. As for dogs, he likes female dogs, not male dogs. Patches would make a great family dog. He looks great and behaves great. In his new home, children must be 8 years old or older.
Patches is just learning to ride in a car. On his ride to our veterinarian recently, he was perfect in the car. When we got to our veterinarian, he walked in like "a big shot"! When we were done, Patches went back to the car and off we went like he did this every day!
You MUST own your own home preferably with a fenced in yard or a large dog runner. A big yard would make Patches very happy because he loves to run in the yard.
ABSOLUTELY no condos. ABSOLUTELY no apartments.
Patches is neutered, his shots are all up to date, he is negative for heartworm and he is microchipped.
To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules.
The adoption fee for Patches is $300.00 firm. No credit cards.
