tia

Rocky Hill, CT

Meet tia

Tia is resilient, smart, happy, energetic, athletic, and a people pleaser. Tia has been in our care for 1 YEAR! Why?! We don't know.

Tia walks well on a leash, she is dog friendly after a slow introduction period. She does best with dogs her size or larger. She is a playful and energetic girl who LOVES to retrieve anything you throw for her.

She is SMART! She learns quickly, she seems to enjoy training and is very treat motivated.

She does guard her food with other dogs, so feeding her separately is required.

Tia would do well with an experienced dog owner that is looking for a dog that thrives on engagement.

She has been know to jump out of a 4' fence if she gets bored, more so to just explore. She is trained on using a doggie door.

Tia has been waiting longer than most, lets get this girl home!

Considering adoption?

Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link)
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/Cat

Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email.

A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application -

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.

If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email.

DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT.

All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved.

WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks.
We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019.

***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. ***

We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents
