For this reason, he’s not a fit for homes with children or a home that has many visitors and will need a calm, quiet environment where he can feel safe. Once he trusts you (and that might take some time – think weeks or even months), he’ll allow gentle pets and might even sneak in a snuggle on his terms.He’s very food-motivated, which helps with building trust, but he’s also protective of his meals and treats, so he must be fed separately from other pets. Popcorn loves cats and would absolutely thrive in a feline-friendly home. He’s cautious with dogs but can coexist peacefully after a respectful introduction.Popcorn isn’t a social butterfly, but he does fine when visitors come over – as long as they don’t try to engage with him directly. His ideal adopter will be someone who respects his boundaries, moves at his pace, and is okay with earning his love slowly but surely.If you’re a cat-loving human with a quiet home and a heart big enough for a little dog who just needs time and understanding, Popcorn might just be your perfect match.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
