Elliot is a 6-year-old medium-sized American Pit Bull Terrier who has been waiting at The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County since 4/12/25. Last month, this handsome guy reached a milestone no shelter dog should ever have to celebrate… his one-year shelter anniversary. A whole year of waiting. A whole year of watching other dogs leave while he hoped his turn would come.No dog wants to spend precious time behind shelter walls — and we know Elliott deserves so much more.
