Blue is a mellow, lovable guy with a heart full of cuddles and a playful spirit. At 68 lbs, he’s a gentle giant who enjoys lounging in the sun, chasing squirrels, and snuggling up for a cozy nap or movie time. He’s the perfect companion for someone who’s looking for a goofy, laid-back dog who loves to snuggle and relax at home.
While Blue’s temperament is calm and loving, he does need to be the only dog in the household. Due to his past experiences, he has extreme aggression toward other male dogs in his home, which is why we are looking for a home where he can be the one and only furry friend. Blue absolutely thrives when he’s the center of attention and would be ideal for someone who doesn’t have other pets.
He’s housebroken, knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake," and is very gentle when it comes to treats. His love for humans is immense, and while he can be protective at first, he quickly warms up to guests and becomes an absolute goofball. He’s especially fond of the men in his life, and there’s nothing he enjoys more than getting tummy rubs and lounging in the sun.
Blue does have some quirks—he’s afraid of fireworks, which can be a bit stressful for him, especially around his birthday on the 4th of July. However, he is full of energy when it comes to playtime and enjoys running around and having fun.
