Meet mimosa

Mimosa is a 6 year old, 78 lb, German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Pit Bull, Chow Chow, and Husky mix. She is potty trained, leash trained, and knows how to be a polite walking buddy. She’s also great in the car, makes bath time easy, and doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed. She’s crate trained, though she doesn’t need one, and she gets along well with cats and kittens. She does well with other small dogs. When it comes to people, Mimosa can be cautious at first. She tends to keep her distance or bark when meeting someone new, but once she learns she can trust you, her true personality shines. Beneath that initial shyness is a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly sweet girl who just wants to love and be loved. It’s hard to believe that with all these amazing qualities, she’s still waiting for her forever home. Mimosa just needs someone patient and kind, someone willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new environment. If you think you might be that person, visit www.rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application and meet this special girl.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
