General Info: Athena is one of the sweetest and best girls you will ever meet! She is very loving and affectionate and loves to lay in your lap or beside you on the couch. She loves other dogs and puppies! She came into rescue after having a litter of 10 puppies her first heat cycle. She was an excellent mommy and has been the BEST foster sissy to numerous puppies coming through the rescue in the past 2 years. I never put her up for adoption until now, because I really wanted to keep her forever myself… that’s how wonderful she is! But sadly, with adoptions being slow the last 2 years, I have accumulated 7 large dogs at my house, and she is super adoptable, so I want her to have a chance at a home where she doesn’t have to share the attention with so many other dogs. She deserves that! Athena would be very happy being the only dog and getting all the love, but she does like other dogs too. She is on the dominant side, but once she lets other dogs know that she’s the alpha, she becomes their best friend and protector. She’s also a great alert dog if someone comes into the yard.
