Jager is a sweet boy who needs a nice home to give him a shot! Jager came to ACL as a young dog, likely barely a year old, tied up near the shelter. Over a year later, he still has not had a foster break or much adoption interest. Jager is being as patient as we could ever expect, but he is always excited for the day that someone will come and take him home! He is one of the most affectionate dogs in the world, and will do anything for some love and praise (and treats!) With every new person he meets, all he ever wants are some head scratches, a fun game of tug, and a nice long walk.

Spayed/Neutered: Yes!

Up to date on vaccines: Yes!

Microchipped: Yes!

Housebroken: Working on it! They're doing well on a schedule but will have occasional accidents in the home.

Crate-trained: Unknown! They have never been crated while in our care.

Leash behavior: Working on it! They are still learning what the leash is all about and may have some behaviors that will require continued positive reinforcement training.

Dog sociability: They don't like them! They do not get along with other dogs and need to be the only dog in the home.

Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats.

Kid sociability: Unknown! They have never met children while in our care.

Likes: Scritches from everyone, friendship, the concept of love

Dislikes: anything that stands between him and getting his required cuddles
