Meet brownie
Brownie, who could be renamed “Chaucer” because, like the characters in the Canterbury Tales, he is on a pilgrimage to fulfill his mission. Could it be to find you? He is outstanding in the home, wonderful with kids, and excellent with people. Although he hasn’t been officially cat-tested, he might just be okay with them, too. He is one of our foster favorites.
Brownie has a difficult past. He was found in a dumpster along the San Fernando Highway. There’s also some reasonable evidence that he was used as a bait dog. Because of this, he is very uncomfortable around other dogs, so he must be the only dog in your home.
Initially, he came to us with embedded fox tails and needed urgent vet care, including wellness exams. He has since recovered, with a very soft coat, and is thriving!
Brownie is the sweetest gentleman, loyal and affectionate, now understanding that he is safe and will never be harmed again. He will need people to continue supporting him with training, which he enjoys, along with lots of love.
He loves walks, hikes, tug-of-war, and just being with you. He is a kind soul with so much to give and will be the perfect companion for the people who welcome him.
