Hi there – I’m Chestnut! I’m a 6-month-old terrier mix puppy who made a big journey from Texas to find my forever family, and I just know they’re out there waiting for me!

My foster family says I’m curious, playful, smart, and oh-so-lovable. I’m always up for backyard zoomies, a good game of tug-of-war, or chasing after a ball (fetch is my favorite!). Once I’ve burned off some energy, I love nothing more than curling up on the couch for snuggles.

I adore meeting new people and pups—I’ve never met a stranger! While I don’t live with any kids in my foster home, I’ve done well around small children during visits. I also get along great with other dogs and would love a home with a playful furry friend—but I’d also be totally happy as your one and only sidekick.

I’m a smart cookie, too! I already know several commands like “Sit,” “Wait,” “Down,” and “No,” and I’m learning more every day. I get super excited and may jump up to say hello, but that’s just my happy puppy energy—if you give me attention, I settle right down.

I’m fully potty trained (yay!) as long as I get frequent outdoor breaks, and I sleep soundly all night in my crate. I’ll even take daytime naps in there, especially if there’s a cozy blanket waiting for me.

My foster family absolutely loves me, but they know I deserve a forever home that can give me all the love, playtime, and guidance a smart, energetic pup like me needs.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.
