​🐾 A Letter from Chloe: I’m ready to come home now.
​To my future family,
​I don’t know if you remember me. A little while ago, I was the girl hiding in the back of a kennel, feeling like my world had grown too loud and too scary after I lost my first owner. I didn’t think I had any "spark" left in me.
​But I have a secret to tell you: I found it.
​I’ve been staying with a wonderful foster family, and they’ve helped me remember how to be a dog again. I used to be so scared that if a bird landed in the yard, I’d run and hide under the kitchen table. Now? I’m the one doing the "zoomies" across the grass, playfully chasing them away! I’ve discovered that I’m actually quite a silly girl once I feel safe.
​I’ve also learned that I am a world-class "hugger." I love to lean in close and cuddle with my people to show them how much I appreciate them. I’ve become a very good houseguest, too—no accidents, no chewing on shoes, and I don’t even bark or jump. I’m just a quiet, 1.5-year-old soul looking for a soft place to land.
​I’m still a little sensitive, so I’m looking for a specific kind of "forever." Because I get my confidence from my friends, I really need a home with another dog—someone medium or large who can show me the ropes and keep me company while you’re away. I’m still learning that the world isn’t so scary, so a quiet neighborhood with a big yard is my dream come true. While I’m very sweet with everyone, those tiny, high-energy humans can still be a bit much for me, so a calm and peaceful home is where I’ll truly shine.
​I promise I am worth the patience. I won’t ask for much—just a few treats, a patch of sun in the yard, and a family who understands that my trust is the greatest gift I have to give. I’ve done the hard work of healing; now I just need a place to belong.
