Meet Kimmy – Gentle, Sweet, and Learning to Love Life
Kimmy is a soft-natured, gentle girl who has come such a long way since arriving in our care. Once unsure of touch and affection, she’s beginning to understand how wonderful gentle pets and companionship can be. Every week, she shows more curiosity, confidence, and trust — and she’s starting to act more and more like the happy dog she was always meant to be.
What Makes Kimmy Special
• Calm, polite, and naturally well-behaved
• Housebroken and tidy in her space
• Walks beautifully on leash and now enjoys exploring the neighborhood
• Knows “sit,” “down,” and “place,” and is learning to hold her position with confidence
• Starting to seek out affection — she’ll quietly nudge your hand for more pets once she warms up
• Loves her Benebones, antlers and quiet moments nearby her favorite people
• Respectful of her surroundings and easy to have around the home
What Kimmy Needs
Kimmy thrives with gentle structure and a calm environment. She continues to make wonderful progress with patient, positive experiences. Having another friendly, confident dog around helps her feel secure and encourages her playful side.
She may still prefer calm moments to constant attention, but she’s learning that being close to people feels really good — and she’s blossoming into a loving, loyal companion.

Kimmy is hoping for a home that celebrates small victories and understands that building trust takes time — and lots of love. A patient adopter (and ideally a canine friend) will help her continue to grow into the happy, affectionate dog she’s becoming.
