Meet popeye

A Brave Survivor Ready to Blossom in Her New Home!

Popeye’s story is one of courage and resilience. At just 10 months old, this young pup has already endured more than most. We found her curled into a tiny ball, barely moving, outside a weathered doghouse, struggling against the elements with little to no care. After days of no word from her family, we discovered that Popeye had fallen gravely ill, likely from ingesting rat poison, and had not eaten in five days. Her condition was dire, but we rushed her to the vet for lifesaving treatment.

Now, we are thrilled to bring you the Perky Popeye Pupdate you’ve been waiting for! Against all odds, this brave little survivor—just 20 pounds of sweetness—has made a miraculous recovery. Under the dedicated care of our veterinary team, Popeye battled acute kidney failure, and, with lots of love and determination, her kidneys are back on track!

Popeye is growing stronger each day, and her quiet, gentle personality is just beginning to blossom. She’s dog-friendly and calm, with a spirit that is slowly but surely starting to shine through. Now, she urgently needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home to continue her journey of healing and growth.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s shown immense courage and has a heart full of love to give, Popeye is waiting for you. Give her the chance to bloom into the happy, healthy dog she was always meant to be.

Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
